The Chief Financial Officer of Atlantic Service Company, Martin Hughes, has been recognised for his commitment and quality of his work in the Global CFO Excellence awards of 2020.
The awards, organised by Acquisition International, are designed to reward the commitment, innovation and dynamism of the world’s best finance pioneers.
Martin won the award in the Food Processing division of the competition, and was recognised for his commitment to customer service and continuous improvement and especially the way in which the business uses financial data and analysis to drive its performance.
Speaking about the award, Martin was quick to credit the wider team and culture within the company: “I’m delighted to win the award and it’s a great accolade to have. I’m obviously pleased to get the recognition from the personal point of view, but it’s also a fantastic acknowledgement of the commitment and culture of the whole business in how customer-focused we are and how we use data to continuously improve every element of what we do.”
A representative from Acquisition International explained that “in today’s complex economic environment it is crucial for the world’s leading businesses to have financial leaders fully equipped with a variety of skills, and not just finance related. CFOs are notable for driving the direction of their organisations, using their expertise to steer the company in the right direction”.
The award is just the latest in a recent run of success for Atlantic Service Company, who earlier this year were nominated for two awards in the Welsh Business Awards and continue to gain recognition for their quality and customer focus.
